Enniscorthy Town Council have joined forces with Enniscorthy Chamber of Commerce and Enniscorthy Tidy Towns to set up an initiative of an open evening aimed at bringing local businesses together to get their views on how to get Enniscorthy working better as a retail and tourism destination
This collective group of bodies all share the same enthusiasm for the business and tourism sector with a motto of Actively concerned for getting things done. The groups are made up of individuals from different business sectors aiming to promote Enniscorthy as a tourist destination and drive greater footfall in the town.
Focusing on it’s target market and to raise awareness of the town attractions from history, heritage, shopping to a wide range of activities and other valuable assets they aim to create a strong tourism brand which will benefit the community in turn.
Spearheaded by a group of likeminded individuals who recognise the town’s potential they are offering a unique event aimed at bringing local businesses together working for their mutual benefit to secure their future.
Part of this evening will provide an opportunity for tourism attractions, activity and amenity providers in the Enniscorthy area to showcase their business and products to the community of Enniscorthy. with a view to raise everyone’s awareness of what we have to offer.
Presentations on the evening will be made by Failte Ireland, showing the economic benefits of tourism and highlighting the spin off value for retail. A tidy towns adjudicator will show How tidy Town helped turn the tourism tide in Kinsale and Clonakilty. Attendees will also be updated on current tourism projects from Enniscorthy Town Council and Enniscorthy Tourism.
The success of this event relies on the support of the entire community as it is the start of a process in devising a tourism development strategy for the town of Enniscorthy.
